Seongsu, emerging as a global commercial district,
answers the most frequently asked questions through data.


Q. I heard Seongsu has higher sales than Gangnam, is that true?
Based on the same global sportswear brand, the Seongsu store generates 8.76 million KRW per pyeong (approx. 3.3 sq meters) monthly, which is 72% higher than Gangnam (5.09 million KRW).
Q. How big of a market is Yeonmujang-gil?
The annual sales of the area are about 1.5 trillion KRW, with the estimated annual sales of the main Yeonmujang-gil district alone at about 800 billion KRW.
Q. How much have rent and key money (premium) in Seongsu increased?
The core key money on Yeonmujang-gil has increased by about 15 to 20 times compared to 2021, and the rent per pyeong has increased by 2 to 3 times compared to 2023.
Q. How high have building prices per pyeong in Seongsu reached?
Based on recent transactions, it is about 250 million to 330 million KRW per pyeong. Amorepacific purchased a building for 31.7 billion KRW in 2023, and Simmons purchased one for 38 billion KRW in 2025.
Q. I heard so many foreigners visit, is that true?
In the first quarter of 2026, there were about 1.09 million foreign tourists in the Yeonmujang-gil area, a 110% increase compared to the previous year.
Q. Are they satisfied with their visit? Do they come back?
Out of 50 foreigners interviewed on-site, over 90% answered "above expectations," and over 96% said they would come back.
